Another ugly conf call. The bad news: weak volumes, pricing, no SEG TSA in foreseeable future, write-down of about $43 mil in EXCESS TSA equipment just purchased last year. Sounds to me like when the offerring went through, the cash went to their heads. Good news: In a month will hear back from Fujisu's evaluation of actuated suspensions, SEG still supposedly interested in TSA and have signed letter of intent regarding development co-operation which will result in more formal agreements. Bullish on emerging uses for drives and TSA's position versus the competition. Bottom line: I'm getting tired of missed forecasts and serious misjudgements but still like the long term fundamentals of disk drives and think HTCH is one of the best ways to play it.
