Update: since yesterday, open rift between CDU and Kohl. Still, they won't make him speak so easily (and I, personally, still don't know whether I want him to speak). Several circumstances point to money actually not coming from anonymous contributors, but left over from huge bribery and money laundering scandal 'Flick-affair' in 1980's, which happened in the Hesse state CDU, reaching 15 times the volume that Kohl has admitted so far. They (the Hessians) say Kohl was not involved in the Hesse dealings.
However, who would believe an 82-year old persons who defended for weeks the inexplicable anonymous Swiss payments to Hesse CDU by first insinuating, later stating clearly they had come from German emigrant Jews who wanted to contribute -anonymously- to CDU (Casimir von Sayn-Wittgenstein)?

Payback and penalties for federal CDU may reach 400 mln., if, as it should be, all their financing records since 1984 are rejected by parliament. This would ensure their economic bankruptcy. Temporal political illiquidity of the Federation seems complete, as there is no government-opposition process in the political public since weeks.

Regards MNI.
