SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- PlanetRx.com PLRX , a leading Internet healthcare destination, today announced that Lens Express, Inc., a leading contact lens replacement and eye care product and service direct retailer, will become the premier provider of contact lenses, sunglasses, reading glasses, eye care solutions and accessories for PlanetRx.com's new Vision Care Center. The deal gives PlanetRx.com access to the approximately 13 billion dollar a year U.S. eye care market.
PlanetRx.com's new Vision Care Center offers customers the convenience of ordering eye care products online while purchasing other health and beauty products and prescriptions at the Internet healthcare site. A full line of contact lenses and other eye care products will be available on the PlanetRx.com site in early February 2000, with sunglasses and reading glasses to be added to the product selection later in the year.
