My excerpt from the Microsoft report: >> PC shipment growth was moderate in the December quarter of fiscal 2000, with particular slowness in corporate PC demand. Average revenue per license declined slightly, due in part to a mix shift to high-volume multi-national PC manufacturers from low-volume system builders. << Suggests a shift away from the regional assemblers (who pay more to MSFT) and toward the national brands (who pay less per unit to MSFT)?
