John,
if memory serves me, MSFT has made some really big investments in the cable industry over the last few years. I'll spare you the strong words Mr. Gates used with Intel execs regarding his interest in the cable biz, but suffice to say that he's serious about it.

They are a big fish in corporate investing, no doubt. Intel may have done more deals, but your friends in Redmond take bigger spoonfuls.
