Rainier Trinidad -- PER:

I think Time0 is very interesting, although it's hard to tell how much business they've done at this point. I love the W.W. Grainger deal; Grainger is a B2B serious company, and getting the job to implement their e-commerce strategy is a big endorsement. Enchilada sounds like an interesting product. It's hard to tell exactly what the commercial success (or even the commercial potential) is at this point, though.

As for a spin-off or tracking stock . . . well, maybe. I can well imagine it's been discussed, because it would help unlock some hidden shareholder value. But I'm not sure I can see a Ross Perot company going for that; it's really a gimmick, thinking in long-run terms, and I don't think Ross would tinker with the structure of his business just to win some short-term points in this Tulipmania environment.

Regardless, I certainly think PER would be a good long-run investment. Short term, it's hard to tell; the stock has shown some modest strength recently, but there seems to be some hugely negative psychology surrounding the stock right now. I couldn't believe it when PER landed the 10-year, $700-million deal with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and saw its stock price blip up a few percent for maybe a day or two before retreating again.
