I understand the distinction, and appreciate your comment. In the autopsy reports I have seen, the "cause and manner" conclusions are typically better specified specific than as they appear in the Certificate of Death ("COD") {with the "manner" frequently not appearing at all in the COD}. With your experience, you may be able to give Jeff some pointers regarding "agency-speak."
