[The Quiet Company]

<<<As for hyping/supporting the stock, I hope they continue the conservative practice of only puting out substantive press releases.>>>

Edward --

Your post summarizes my own thoughts and hopes for Amati. This definitely is "the quiet company." No one can accuse them of hype. Some times it drives me nuts because I'd like them to emphasize the near-term markers instead of the "late '97 early '98" facts. Yes, the roll-out will be late '97 and early '98, but there's so much that will happen between now and then. But, nope, Tac and RC continue to tell it like it is.

I think it would be worthwhile to study the early days of Cisco as a means of understanding the thinking of Amati's board of directors. I know for a fact Cisco didn't advertise for its first four years. What was the stock doing during that period of time?

As for today's action, I can't believe anyone would sell less than two weeks before InterOp. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm in this long and will not be shaken out. By the time the last frightened holder is gone, we'll have one heck of a strong support base, that's for sure. Of course we'll all be certifiable by then. :)

Thanks for the fantastic post. When the market tells us otherwise, I need other voices to reaffirm what I believe.

Cheers!

Pat
