Bob, why would Novell provide inconsistent fingerprint algos/templates in one Starter Pack? That doesn't make any sense. An end user who activates both elements (BioLogon and SAFlink) would have one hell of a confused system on the fingerprint side. And, as you just showed, ESAF does license the BioEngine from Identicator.

The only other alternative to a common IDX core technology would be that the ESAF software has no fingerprint component (or, probably, any core biometric component) resident in the Novell Starter Pack. However, IDX does have its biometrics resident in the Starter Pack. That would make it easier for IDX to market to end users than it would be for ESAF.
