In the ongoing war between the big players and the small... CNBC has been making an issue today about the amount of money that's riding on margin now. We saw what happened earlier in the month when the market corrected in just the right amount of time to force sells on margined issues. The media followed up with hype about "really fast corrections." And then everything was back to normal, except for those whose accounts were sold out at the lows of the correction. Ouch. I see this type of maneuver happening a lot more frequently as long as there are so many investors who are on margin. It gives the brokerages just one more opportunity to take money from the little guy. So GET OFF MARGIN. Don't give the big guys the incentive to take your money especially when the market is looking for direction. Just my opinion, Julie
