Dear Heartsoft Partner:
Over the last day, we have had numerous inquires regarding our second press release dated January 18, 2000. The news release crossed Businesswire at 7:35 on Tuesday. The release which was titled, "Heartsoft Notes Change in Regional Reseller," was released by the company as part of a new level of voluntary compliance with Federal Securities Laws. The news pertained to a change in our sales effort for a limited area of the southwestern United States.
As we continue to grow, our Legal council has advised us that we need to hold ourselves accountable to a new and higher standard for investors, shareholders, institutional firms, and even the Securities and Exchange Commission. This is part of normal growth for a public company climbing from the ranks of obscurity to a position of wide-scale recognition.
Similar to the recent filings of several quarterly reports for 1995, 1997, and 1998, you will notice an identifiable change in Heartsoft's news release policy and a concerted effort to present an accurate representation of the company's growth. The revised PR policy is designed to inform the public of not only the positive progress of the company, but also the minor delays which occur from time-to-time, and which are part of the due course of business - especially for a growing bulletin board company on the move!
While the change in Sales and Marketing strategy for the SW US does not have a material impact on the company, management decided to take the advice of Legal and to note publicly the change in our reseller relationship with TIG.
I hope this transmittal helps clarify the purposes behind these differing releases as they occur from time to time.
Exciting times are at hand and we fully believe that Internet Safari, combined with its advanced security based upon artificial intelligence and proprietary image detection software capable of intercepting pornographic images, will be a major product for the company.
We appreciate your interest in Heartsoft and for sharing our vision to change the way children use the computer and the Internet!
Peace,
Benjamin P. Shell Chairman & CEO Heartsoft, Inc.>> |
