Hello Paul, wondering if you have seen the news regarding the RMBS suit against Hitachi. RMBS is claiming that they have fundamental IP that covers the methods that HIT uses to interface the controller with synch memory. They are asking for injunctions on HIT produced PC 100, PC 133 DRAM as well as the SH-2, SH-3 and SH-4 processors. They hinted that they are in discussions with other companies but that only HIT has broken off talks - thus resulting in the filing of the suit asking for an injunction on all these products. It would seem from the RMBS cc that RMBS is claiming that none of the modern memory technologies - DDR, PC100, PC133 can move forward without infringing on RMBS patents. The mainstream press hasn't picked this up but it would seem to be a fairly important suit for the PC industry. Interested in your point of view. Rich
