Was Jeff referring to an unsuccessful appeal of Reed's criminal conviction?

I believe that the Weiss Yourman amended complaint said that in 1997 Reed appealed his criminal conviction and that appeal was unsuccessful.

It wasn't clear to me, in reading the docket for the FTC suit against the Reeds, whether the docket item that Jeff mentioned was referring to a criminal court appeal.
