Press release. They've finally sold some FRADS!
FASTCOMM RECEIVES ORDER FOR 1000 MonoFRADT Plus NETWORK ACCESS
DEVICE FROM SYSTEM ONE/AMADEUS

Enhanced Networking Product provides Frame Relay and
Dial-Modem Networking capabilities in a single unit; part of
planned 2000 unit deployment by System One/Amadeus

STERLING, VA, April 24, 1997-FastComm Communications Corp. announced today that it is commencing volume shipments this month of a planned 2000 unit deployment of the newly enhanced MonoFRADT Plus network access devices to System One/Amadeus.

This order represents the first large purchase of the new features, which were previously announced in March 1997, when FastComm announced
that it had enhanced its family of Frame Relay Access Devices (FRADs)
with integral V.34 and 56 Kbps modem capability for Dial Networking
and Dial Backup applications.

Adding to the integral ISDN TA options previously announced in the
FRADs, the integral modem option supports Dial Network Access when
ISDN isn't available. In addition to Dial Backup applications for LAN
and legacy applications supported by the FastComm FRADs, the modem (and ISDN) option can be used as a Primary Network Port for those locations which don't require dedicated or full-time connection to
the wide area network.

Available immediately on FastComm's innovative MonoFRADT and EtherFRADT network access devices, the modem option is shipping this quarter, and will also be made available on the SNA-rich RingFRADT (Token Ring) model. Pricing varies depending on modem-type options (contact FastComm for volume price quotes).

Existing FastComm customers will be able to download an Enhanced-Dial software upgrade into their existing FastComm F9000 series FRADs at no charge, for use with external modems and TAs. Prices for the FRADs remain unchanged.

"We're excited to be working with System One/Amadeus as they expand
they network," stated Peter Madsen, FastComm President. "This network, one of the largest private Frame Relay networks ever deployed,is an overwhelming success, and we're proud to provide the FRADs that connect thousands of their customers!"
