It would appear that RAMBUS believes that some of their patented concepts were "expropriated" by Hitachi and used in SDRAMs and Micros and NOT in DRDRAMS. My guess is that RAMBUS licensed their patents for DRDRAM use only. Anyhow, taking on Hitachi - a HUGE CORPORATION - is an extreme act - so the upside is enormous should RAMBUS prevail. If RAMBUS loses, I know they will lose their legal fees - but that seems like a small "bet" to pay for such an "upside potential". Paul
