Transmeta gave one soul to Bluetooth

Transmetas Crusoe chip is very, very important news. (It's a sweet soul music to me - wireless connectivity -investor.)

Because powerconsumption recent lap-tops (... they have even fans...!) It has been impossibble to build a real wireless web-pad/ or book on wintel (=Windows+Intel) architecture.

You need at least 5 hours lasting battery in a web-pad, which has a large display, processor, flashmemory and radiomodule - all eating battery like maddogs!

They gave it to us, look:

Meanwhile other source is cautious on BT-markets:
Jack Quinn, the $2,850 report's author, is cautious on Bluetooth. He argues that the Bluetooth market cannot take off until it is reduced to a single, inexpensive semiconductor chip. "I don't see that happening before 2002," he said.
