Falk says EDIG is looking into making some acquisitions He also stated that without additional flash memory the device can only handle four different codecs. One of the four different codecs that Falk chose to mention as examples included the codec used by Sony. He (Falk) mentioned that he believes that the Sony codec is currently being made available for use with the TXN DSP. He also mentioned that EDIG is currently talking with well known companies that provide audio for the home andcar as well as for portable use. He mentioned that the royalty is negotiable and can fall anywhere from $3 to $8 and the licensing fee is also negotiable. Falk seemed to be excited about getting around to using MicroOS with video.
