Mercury Sportjet's are 2S.

They are 2S Mercury outboard engines attached to 90 degree gearbox driving a jetpump. All you have to do is look at the horsepower and the weight and you'll know it has to be a 2S. 175hp, 305 pounds. Were this engine a 4S it would be bigger, heavier, and much more expensive - too expensive for Bombardier to hold jetboat prices to an acceptable level. 2001 Sportjets will feature OCP for sale in CA, and probably all states, due to CARB2001/EPA2006. I haven't seen any 175hp, 305 lb 4S outboards (100hp Yamaha "F100" 4S outboard weighs 358 lbs). And the "variable rate oil injection" Mercury lists certainly isn't a 4S feature!
