I notice a lot of posts referring to the name change and how important it is. I can see some minor psychological benefit in market terms, but unless a name change is announced in conjunction with some other significant news, I really don't see it having much effect on the stock price. People who are currently interested in the stock already know it is no longer in the mining business and those others whose attention might be drawn by a name change are not going to rush out and place buy orders on that basis alone. I am looking for lots of news in the short term, but frankly the name change is nowhere near the top of my wish list.
Perhaps someone can convince me of it's importance by pointing to a precedent where a name change had a markedly positive effect on the stock.
