Thanks to all...I don't run PC-cillin or any virus program and have no cursor problems...will reduce graphics acceleration and see what happens. Games seem to run fine from the HD so if this means I have to do full installs I guess the worst is that I'll have to get a bigger HD(g). This is a real nuisance problem!!! Dave
