Howard, Hoping that you can help with this question: I'm trying to understand how to increase the measurements I get on Resource Meter (Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Resource Meter. System Resources=74% free User Resources=74% free GDI resources=85% free I have not opened Internet Explorer but notice that there are 10 icons in the rectangular box in the bottom right hand corner of my screen i.e., it's the rectangular box with the time of day inside! These 10 programs are putting a drag on my system and I would like to get rid of them i.e., to disable them so that my System Resource measurements increase in value. Please help me out. Thanks.
