BroadVision, Inc. Expands Management Team in Asia


REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- BroadVision(R), Inc. (Nasdaq: BVSN), the leading provider of personalized e-business applications, announced today it has appointed Brett Ho to the position of Vice President and General Manager of BroadVision's Asia-Pacific region, and Daniel Lee to the position of Regional Vice President of Channels in Asia-Pacific. Ho will be responsible for strategic operations and management, while Lee will manage channels and partnerships.

Prior to BroadVision, Ho served as the Country Manager of Oracle Taiwan, where he was elected Country Manager of the Year at Oracle in 1999, running a 230-person unit. Prior to Oracle, he worked for Sybase Corp., having started as a technical sales director and major account director, becoming integral to the success of Sybase application sales and then reporting directly to the General Manager of Sybase Americas. Ho received his MS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and his MBA from John Hopkins University.

Lee joins BroadVision after serving fifteen years with Hewlett-Packard, where he held various sales and marketing field positions in Beijing, Tokyo and Hong Kong. He also directed product management in the U.S. Lee graduated from the International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan, with a B.A. degree and is fluent in Japanese, Cantonese and Mandarin.

In the past year, BroadVision's Asia-Pacific region has gained much momentum, with new offices in Taiwan and Korea, joining existing sales operations in Singapore, Japan, and China and with the establishment of the BroadVision Asia Pacific Technology Center in Taiwan, which provides professional services and consulting to customers and partners. New customers in the region include Com-Path, Samsung Electronic, Hitachi LCI, Windriver, SysPower and Ricoh, joining established BroadVision customers such as Sony, Toshiba, Dao Heng Bank, Singapore Post and Development Bank of Singapore.
