Lets take a vote, or obtain comments from others that a mention of this was a "non event".
For example, just wondering why a transfer of Harmony's established policy on their existing sites would be a sure thing ? What if the acquired Randfontein demonstrated that they had a top notch hedging program, say equal to and as good as some say Barrick has. Would not that be left in place ?
If so, would that be "unusual" news to you ? Or would that be a un-non-news story ? Or, <<...is a [un]real non-news story.>> ?

Sounds like you had information prior to their undoing it that would have identified the future to them, to show a mistake was to be made. Note, your sentence was not one to identify an event like one would do to note facts as History, but to scorn those who say "hedging is bad".
