(COMTEX) B: Hydrogiene ''Medigard'' Anti-Bacterial Coatings and Spray
B: Hydrogiene ''Medigard'' Anti-Bacterial Coatings and Spray Development

SAN DIEGO, Jan 20, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Charles Kallmann,
president/CEO stated Thursday that Polymer Research (Nasdaq:PROA) has
advised completion of Hydrogiene's (OTCBB:HICS) proprietary, advanced,
new, anti-bacterial protection sprays (powder) and coatings program is
expected to be ready for marketing in late April or early May of this
year.

The FDA approved spray and coatings are designed for application to all
Hydrogiene Mediclenze and Theraclenze products and accessories.
Hydrogiene intends to sell the products as a purse sized spray, as well
as a commercially sized spray for use by hotels, restaurants, medical
facilities, military and residential use. The company will license
"Medigard" on an international basis, as well. Medigard is formulated
to kill a wide variety of bacteria such as various strains of E-Coli,
Staf, salmonella, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes and 13 other such
bacteria. "Medigard" is resistant to cleaning, autoclaving, heat and
other such cleansing and sterilization processes, with a four-year
killing period. World wide patent protection will be sought.

Polymer Research is unique in its field having developed a method of
attaching formulations to substances in such a manner as to make them
virtually impossible to detach or destroy when applied to materials,
meant to protect sealing and killing contaminants.

Market reaction to the new "Medigard" anti-bacterial coating has been
widespread in its enthusiasm for such a protective coating intended to
drastically reduce infections from surfaces potentially harmful to
individuals.
