Bux. this statement by Jacobs was made during the Kyocera purchase analysts conference. the comment was made in comparison to CDMA2000 and WCDMA relative to buildout/testing phase in regard to full data rate capabilities. Also, both NTT and Nokia have publically stated they are about a year ahead of the U.S. (meaning Qualcomm i presume) in their deployment of WCMDA. by the way; if you could list even one piece of broadband intellectual property which Interdigital is currently holding which makes Interdigital a loser in your eyes, would like to see it. the semantics that those who don't like Interdigital use are unending (no technology specifics; just hearsay and banter); but in the end it is the technology that matters and the licensing agreements they are garnering which will make the difference.
