There has been much talk in entertainment news lately about the death of actress Hedy Lamarr (once regarded as the worlds most beautiful woman). I was surprised to find out that she was a pioneer of spread spectrum communications. I was equally surprised that an upstart W-ODFM company that I have been researching bought the original patent for the ``Wartime Secret Communication System, 1942' from miss Lamarr, and is now the front runner with CISCO in this field , thanks to Miss Lamarr. biz.yahoo.com Au revoir to an unsung pioneer.
