It can only mean very strong news is around the corner. Perhaps market makers now have shares they're gonna wanna sell close to the 20 mark.

Think about this:

If you're a market maker and you've got a bunch you own from under the 10 mark and a bunch more you picked from the shakedown after hitting the 15 mark, selling 'em near 20 makes the most sense. So, when the news hits, going past the 15 mark you simply match the buys with the sells until the price gets into the higher end, toward the 20 mark. Then you begin selling your market maker shares.

Isn't this, after all, how market makers ride in elevators?
