Steve, <Would you consider buying an Athlon?> Believe it or not, if I were building a new system right now, I would consider it. Not because of performance (Coppermine performs just as well as Athlon, in my opinion), but because of the huge price differential. But as of now, I'll probably just upgrade my Slot 1 system to a nicely priced Pentium III (550 MHz, if I had to choose now). Then in the far future, I'll probably go straight for a Willamette proliferation. Maybe even Deerfield (future IA-64 for desktops), whenever that arrives. Tenchusatsu
