Terry,

What you witnessed today was a pure case of unadulterated market manipulation. I was watching AMAT all day and based upon the bi/ask sizes in relation to the price movement it was obvious that the market makers had alot of orders to fill. However, they couldn't fill them at THEIR PRICE. They started lowering the bid on very small trades until the bid got to the stops and the rest was history. The NASDQ is getting to look more and more like the Toronto Exchange. My theory is that alot of traders and investors are giving up trading in the NASDQ because of the obvious manipulations. They better clean up their act or they won't be around in the 21st century..
