I am not sure the price dip is a result of manipulation - it might just be that the large January call options position has forced down the share price.

If the big options sellers are holding shares to cover the calls then as options are closed out the options sellers, wanting to lock in their profits on the transaction, sell off their covering shares, thus depressing the stock price.

Maybe the options sellers even sold some shares off this morning, leaving the options naked, but gambling on the squeeze allowing then to buy cheaper this afternoon.

Whatever, it worked.
