The two companies will collaborate on technology, marketing and sales to drive the adoption of broadband IP network services.
The combined efforts will enable both delivery and promotion of network services to content providers, aggregators, and broadcasters. Enron Communications utilizes a range of Sun? server and storage products to deliver ePowered Media Cast, a broadband media streaming service, through local ISPs and ePowered Media Transport, a network service for the point to point transport of high quality video files in the professional broadcast post-production industry. RealNetwork's G2 media streaming server, optimized for Sun's robust Solaris? operating environment, enables the ePowered Media Cast service with capacity to support near TV quality video and high volumes of users.
