A little (well maybe a lot--it's in the eyes of the beholder <<gg>>) older and a little slower than you, but NSATF has been berry, berry good to me since 12. I don't want to get overly optimistic, but do you read NSATF the same way as I do? That its fundamentals for the next few years are terrific and it could easily double again--or more--long before that?
I think there's a Peter Lynch effect that hasn't been fully factored into the potential growth--namely, so many people are fed up with the cable monopoly--poor service and high cost--that, with the recent legislation, the mass switch to satellite reception has only just begun. A lot of those people, like me, will see that cos. like NSATF will really profit. Also notice the small institutional holdings. I have to believe those will increase dramatically too along with formal coverage with "Buys" "Strong Buys".
Gosh, I hope it doesn't sound like I'm too much of a hypster. NSATF just looks sooo good. It will give up some of those gains from time to time. All runners do. Those dips should be looked at as ops to buy more. Nothing wrong with taking profits along the way though too.
Oh yeah. I lightened up on DITC and SMTF, but they still closed strong. Esp. DITC IMO. It reminds me of BRCM late last Oct. which has tripled since then. Not saying DITC will do that, but it looks to me like there is a lot of clear sailing to 160-170, in the ST. As it approaches its old high, it will find resistance, but if it breaks through, no telling where it will end up.
It looks like the market is really down on the gamers. AKLM and ERTS woes are rubbing off on THQI methinks along w/ almost anything having to do with toys and games. HAS looks like a real value. I made a couple bucks a share in DEC, but I didn't like the way it was trading so sold. It's gone down substantially since then, and an upgrade today didn't give it more than a momentary bump.
BTW Norman, I guess the market late-in-the-day action answered your question about the market--at least for today. It, at least the NASDAQ, will show a lot of volatility, but there is still a lot of $$$ out there looking for a place to rest. IMO, the volatility will remain high as a lot more people are not resting in any one thing very long except maybe wireless, broadband and internet transaction enablers (eg security). Notice I didn't say internet retailers. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the $$$ that's been made in the AMZN's of the world will be looking for more lucrative havens.
