EUROTECH, Ltd. Elects Verdi as New Chairman
January 20, 2000 WASHINGTON, DC. EUROTECH Ltd. (OTC: BB:EURO) announced today that Board Member Chad Verdi was elected as the Chairman to replace the retiring Chairman, Dr. David Wilkes.
Mr. Verdi assumes the role of Chairman immediately and Dr. Wilkes retires after one year as Chairman. EUROTECH's President, Don V. Hahnfeldt, will fill Mr. Verdi's former position on the Board of Directors. Dr. Wilkes retires after establishing a strong financial and organizational foundation for EUROTECH, Ltd. to build upon.
Mr. Verdi is President and CEO of Coastal Food Service & Provisions Inc. and the Coastal Food Service Companies in Cranston, Rhode Island. He is experienced in diversified acquisitions and startups, and has been vital to the restructuring of EUROTECH, Ltd. management and financing. He will have an active role in the commercialization of EUROTECH's leading technologies, which include the radiation-resistant EKOR, the non-isocyanate polyurethane NIPU, the petroleum sorbent Sorbtech, and the rapidly biodegradable hydrophobic material RBHM.
