Web site update is encouraging
Visitors to the telecomtechstocks.com web site, where IDC is the current "focus stock" are running at about average, 1,000 visitors a day. That, of course, is very good and shows strong continuing interest in InterDigital.
The most interesting new foreign origination for visitors is Kuwait.
Which corporate headquarters the visitors are coming from is also very interesting. In descending order, visitors this week have linked directly from these corporate headquarters to the site:
Painewebber Motorola GoldmanSaches Ford GE Texas Instruments Ericsson Telephone Shell Oil Air Touch Communications Northern Telecom GTE Wireless Xerox Aramco IBM Intel AT&T Sprint Toronto Dominion Bank Qualcomm Bell Northern Research
Work on the beta version of the remodeled web site continues, more slowly than I'd like because I've been spending time on updating sections in the present site. But we are progressing. The remodeled site will have a search capability, polling capability and even messaging capability.
As time goes on, I'm more and more positively impressed with IDC's fundamentals. Day to day or week to week share prices are not particularly important to me (except as buying opportunities present themselves). Looking ahead 6 to 12 months, the future looks very bright from everything I know.
I'm afraid we've been spoiled the last 3 months as IDC share prices increased exponentially. After all, 10% annual returns are good. 20% annual returns are exceptionally good historically in stock market investments. I think we have a lot more growth from here, but it may not come tomorrow, or next week, or even next month. With IDC, it seems to come when we are not expecting it.
I wouldn't be surprised is options expiration is affecting the share price negatively this week. That's been a monthly pattern with IDC for years.
