Canadians,

If someone can help me with some questions on taxes. I started trading options recently. t2 has answered some of it but I want to ask just to make sure.

1. I heard from some source that gains from options are taxed at the time of exercise, even without selling the stock. Is this true?

2. What net income qualifies for the highest tax bracket right now?

3. Does anyone know a good strategy of minimizing taxes from options/stock trading?

Thanks in advance.
