ATHM vs. AOL's sub #'s during early years of each company's growth.

Here are your comparable sub numbers:

AOL:
12/92 - 219,000
12/93 - 531,000 Up 312,000 or 142%
12/94 - 1,578,000 Up 1,266,000 or 238%
12/95 - 4,671,000 Up 3,093,000 or 196%
12/96 - 7,852,000 Up 3,181,000 or 68%
12/97 - 10,722,000 Up 2,870,000 or 36%

ATHM ( same period in company history )

12/97 - 50,000
12/98 - 331,000 Up 281,000 or 562% (astounding huh)
12/99 - 1,150,000 Up 869,000 or 263% (beats AOL again)
estimated for 2000
12/2000 4,000,000 up 2,850,000 or 249%

Looks like ATHM wins hands down on the growth curve in comparable early years of the companies growth.

I don't care if it's content or the overwhelming force of broadband which is achieving this growth. The fact is they are on track to beat AOl's early percentage gains year over year. And what was AOL's competition? Prodigy?? Compuserve?? not nearly as formidable as AOL as a competitor. Even with AOL well established ATHM is making gains far superior to any AOL made in the early years of it's growth.

Although the tour on the new ATT@Home site shows some impressive content. Go to the site and "Take the ATT@Home Tour"
