You might want to hold off your shorting until Monday. Stock has had to battle against a load of Jan calls being sold and has survived pretty well against unusually high volumes. Many here (me included) are predicting a pop on Monday when the short term selling pressure subsides.

But don't let me discourage you too much from shorting today - might help the pop on Monday :^) (I am, of course, heavily long AMD.)
