Derek and Thread, 1) Seems like there has been a flurry of new mp3 players released lately. This market will easily dwarf the digital camera market. It is easy to see this now, although I had not predicated my SanDisk investment on the adoption of digital compressed audio such as mp3. E-commerce has also become a household word (or is it a contraction?) which was seldom heard when I first learned about SNDK nearly 2 years ago. 2) If my recollection is correct there should be a court proceeding today regarding partial summary judgement against Lexar Media. They (Lexar) have already submitted rebuttles to testimony submitted earlier on behalf of SanDisk regarding this matter. These rebuttles asked to strike testimony of at least two witnesses that stated that the Lexar CEO freely admitted infringement of the patent in dispute during the earlier licensing fee negotiations between the companies. I suspect that there will be additional motions to strike testimony or other maneuvers to postpone a final disposition of the partial summary judgement. But if SanDisk is successful I would anticipate either a press release or a mention of this important litigation at the time of the conference call. 3) Although I am not a technician, SanDisk has clearly broken out of its previous trading range between $80 and $100 and the magical $100 ceiling.
