Yes, Helms looked and sounded good. I remember a certain ex-Harvard professor who made similar pronouncements in the 1970's. He became Senator from NY on the basis on that performance.

Too bad Moynihan became such a disappointment once in office. Sure, he said the Clinton's preached "boob-bait for Bubba's", but he became a jellyfish when a backbone was required.

Helms wins kudos because he is truthful and has forced the notoriously corrupt UN to reform itself financially. No wonder they didn't applaud.
