Re: More thoughts on "LAWSUIT":

yahoo.cnet.com

The legal action springs from the vagaries of Rambus' history and the inner workings of patent law. The four patents involved in the suit were awarded to Rambus in 1999. However, they all date back for legal purposes to April 1990, when Rambus filed for its patents, Kanadjian said.

The fact that RAMBU$ DID NOT have these patents in hand until sometime in 1999 explains why we have had to endure 12 months of DDR and DDRII FUD without any respose from RAMBU$!

My guess is that the patents were probably issued in the middle of the year and then six months of intense scrutinizing of competitors product thru DECEMBER 1999 -- and then WHAMMO!!!

Any of you out there remember the DECEMBER CC where TATE was ask if DDR and all of its iterations infringed on RAMBU$ IP and TATE's responce was (paraphrasing now)"We are working on that RIGHT NOW as we have just recently gotten some of those products in hand." ...........this part is my thoughts>>>(and we have also just gotten word back from our attorneys)....WHAMMO!!<gg>

My mind is really working overtime on this lawsuit, but I just have this gut feeling that this is going to end up as a HUGE DEAL in the future of RAMBU$........I just don't know if it's going to be a huge GOOD deal or a huge BAD deal!

"WHAMMO"!!! - Norman.
