HEAVY CLOUD ABUNDANT RAIN

Turned to the goodnews after the weather man
I needed a river, saw only a dam
Story was told and Moses had come
The cloud had drizzled but only for some

The Book had clouds of red heifers and goats
Assyrians and Babylonians and even a large boat
But the clouds were empty and rains never came
The promises held but only for the lame

Covenants were made that rivers would flow
Old Covenants kept but very slow
Each Covenant had clouds before the rain
Should this Covenat be differnt in vein

I looked in the Book, but not in vain
For the river had flowed all the same
The Rock had been cleft, and the rains had come
The river had flowed but not only for some

The dark cloud in the cross
Had deleted the dross
And the Crimson rains poured
For the rich and the poor

Some are blinded and remain in the cloud
Their darkness and dryness a faithless shroud
Eyes that can't see and ears that can't hear
The dark clouds without rain always so near

Oh rainless cloud and cloud of despair
The Son and the Rain, the most holy pair
Will remove the dark cloud and flood the dried heart
And forever make darkness depart

This River is flowing God's River is near
For those in Christ that are truly sincere
The angel dispatched and flaming sword drenched
Eternal Life's thirst forever quenched
