I think it takes character to take personal responsibility for a decision. I think this is true, even if one's decision was to follow the advice of another. I think taking personal responsibility for one's actions in life means that one avoids blaming others. Blame is so boring. And unbecoming. I think more is required of us.

But, perhaps I am old fashioned. Perhaps this is the new era.


Excuse me, but I am old-fashioned too. I think when a person charges money for selling a product or a service, he has to take responsibility for the quality of the product or service. That is the very basis of capitalism! It is what you are talking about that deserves to be called "new era" thinking.
