Funny you should mention "Innovator's Dilemma". That's exactly what was going through my mind as I was following this discussion. NTAP represents discontinuous technology that started out being suitable for a niche, lower end product. Technology is enabling them to scale into the high end market. EMC in the meantime may not want to disturb their existing customer base which may not be clamoring for NAS solutions. Will be interesting to see this unfold.
