Quantum Bridge Receives Top Industry Honors;Company Recognized by Inter@ctive Week and ComNet 2000

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 2000--Quantum Bridge (TM) Communications Inc., the leader in the delivery of Optical Access Networking solutions, today announced the reception of two top industry distinctions. In the January 10th issue of Inter@ctive Week, the company was named one of the "Top 10 Companies to Watch in 2000" by the magazine's editors. Additionally, the company was nominated as a finalist for the "New Product Achievement Awards" at the upcoming ComNet 2000 show in Washington, D.C.

As a basis for their selection, Inter@ctive Week lauded the economics of the Quantum Bridge Optical Access System and was enthusiastic about the company's ability to "dramatically reshape the local bandwidth market."
