LOL, Jim. What can I say? When 1 (CDMA) goes to 2 that's called phenomenal growth. When 8 (GSM/TDMA) goes to 11 (growth of 37.5%) that's called slowing down, the scale economics of 11 vs 2 be damned in an industry where repeat business generates a significant part of the profits. LOL Who has time for that kind of nonsense? Shouldn't we be paying more attention to the way Terry Clontz, an IDC board number and StarHub CEO, is steering StarHub in GSM-based Singapore? There's an interesting discussion between Bill and Corpgold over at RB. Asia is expected to eventually be the world's biggest market for fixed and mobile wireless phones. So far so good. Except for ERICY, IDC seems to be following the Nokia way of making money while making money for its partners at the same time.
