Hi Mula,
You have a lot of visibility on Linux on the x86, while my visibility is limited to Windows. What kind of applications are using Linux, apart from standard CAD and scientific applications ? How easy will it be to port the Linux applications from 32 bit Linux to the 64 bit Linux ?

Another Linux x86 issue:
I am also puzzled by the S3 appliance using a Transmeta chip ( S3 will be introducing a Web pad based on an x86 based Linux). For a dedicated application like a Web pad. there should be no x86 legacy software. Or maybe the Web Appliance vendors vendors are more comfortable with an x86, given the large number of potential x86 alternate sources like Intel Timna, National Geode, and other embedded x86 products.

Regards
