Exactly what I was trying to tell you that there will be many that share in the 3-G arena and IDC will be one of them.

That could be, we'll have to wait and see how successful IDC is at leveraging their IPR into licensees and how much these licensees will be willing to pay to use IDC's IPR. The other big question I have is when will 3G be in widespread use? I have heard many analysts project that won't happen for years. What type of revenues does IDC have to hold them over until 3G is in wide use?

To have essential IPR in all 5 proposed standards warrants owning IDC. If you read the IDC/Nokia news release they use the same words as you. IDC will be working on building blocks for Nokia for 3-G.

I think you are referring to my statement that Qualcomm owns the basic building blocks of all mobile CDMA, not that they will be "working on" the building blocks of some future unproven standard. Big difference.
