John and ALL !! The Stock of Microsoft had been falling not because of its earnings but because of the stupid cautious comment made by the CFO. I wonder FWIW if Microsoft shareholders should request that another CFO be appointed at the next share holders meeting or that an overall public relations campaign be designed so that analysts and MO MO boys are not discouraged or inclined to sell. We did not see any dramatic sell off with IBM,. GTW, and LU. God forbid if Microsoft would come out and issue warnings or statements similar to what IBM, GTW and LU did. They did not fall apart like Microsoft did. The problem I feel was the CFO's damn comments and the stock has been beatened up since.

BTW Any one have any thoughts about the DOJ today giving a favorable contract to Corel?? This may have also contributed to the sell off in Microsoft. Anyone think that this was an act of prejudice??

Frank
