Maybe down the road after the case is settled and the stocks runs to 100 it might interest you. Or maybe when you realize what part IDC will play in 3-G that might interest you.

I have studied what part IDC might play in 3G and that is what troubles me. I do not get the same conviction when I look at IDC that I got when I was buying Qualcomm at 5$/split-adjusted share a little more than a year ago. I'm not bragging, it's just that the story is not nearly as convincing and the questions that have gone unaswered on this board recently are just the tip of the iceberg.

I think it all comes down to risk tolerance and perceived risk/reward ratios. People who believe in IDC seem to have the perspective that it's a near-certainty that IDC will be a great investment. I am trying to inject a little realism into that mix and it doesn't inspire my confidence when those who believe most strongly in IDC's prospects use the kind of tactics I have seen over the last few days.

Your spending to much time defending Qualcomm and beating down IDC for no reason.

I have spent a lot of time defending Qualcomm but mostly I have been defending what I have said about Qualcomm since that is often distorted here. I have not spent a lot of time "beating down IDC". I've just asked some pertinent questions and most of those were unanswered except with personal attacks.

Why do you waste your time on something that you don't like or won't invest in? If I were you I would be looking for something to invest in or at least buy more Qualcomm.

I will not be buying more Qualcomm because it has grown to over 80% of my portfolio. That fact is one reason I spend time researching IDC. I am always looking for a good hedge or another stock to invest in but the harder I look at IDC, the less I want to invest but if that changes, I would certainly consider it. If that is an IDC "bash" then so be it.
