It may not include any radical* new ideas, but if combining them well to make a product like this possible was so easy, why hasn't someone else already done it?* IMO, it takes a new face to introduce something like this. The lack of a large set of established interests (like those you'll find at Intel) who either insist on killing a New Idea or saddling it with so much baggage it implodes is key. Once someone has done it, however, and the market seems to like it, the behemoth can (and may well) move much more quickly than before.
